VIP Lounge, 2019

In 2019, our studio partnered with like-minded businesses – including Vinterior, Farrow & Ball and British Standard – to create a “legacy lounge” for Decorex, the UK’s leading international interior design show for design professionals. The space was conceived as a showcase for sustainable design and provided a platform for panel discussions that addressed the fundamental, complex and overwhelming issue of sustainability.

The cavernous room was bisected by a five-metre-long trestle table by Matthew Cox. Groupings of vintage seating created intimate meeting points, whilst bold artworks and textiles brought energy to the richly layered space. At the end of the event, many of the contents of the lounge were put up for auction, with the proceeds going to Emmaus, a charity who work to support homeless people and those who have been marginalised from society by training them to restore and repair items for the home.
