Recently, The Times and The Sunday Times announced their top 100 hotels in the UK and Ireland. Among these award winning hotels were 5 Nicola Harding & Co projects, 3 receiving best-in-category awards, and one taking the top spot as the best hotel - Hotel of the Year 2025. We are honoured to have worked with such fantastic hotels, and it's such a thrill to see them be recognised with such prestigious accolades.Â
The Times' Hotel of the Year
The Cavendish Hotel, Baslow
One of our most recent projects, The Cavendish Hotel, has taken top spot as The Times' Hotel of the Year 2025. This charming former coaching inn, with its 28 bedrooms, lies at the heart of the Chatsworth Estate, overlooking the breathtaking landscapes of the Peak District National Park. Deeply connected to the heritage of Chatsworth House, the Cavendish Hotel reflects a unique blend of historic charm and contemporary sophistication.
Drawing on the Chatsworth House archives and collaborating with Lady Burlington, we worked to honour the rich history of the hotel and estate while introducing refined, sympathetic modern touches.Â
"An impressive top-to-toe refurb has added extra sparkle to this arty escape in the Derbyshire Dales"

Best Blow-The-Budget Hotel
Beaverbrook, Leatherhead
Across the Beaverbrook Estate, the Nicola Harding & Co team have designed an array of strikingly unique residences for guests to stay in. Along side the main house are the Beaverbrook Garden House, a respectfully reimagined gardener’s cottage within a walled working kitchen garden hidden away from the rest of the hotel, and Beaverbrook Village, a collection of former workmen’s cottages designed to emulate the feel of a traditional English village.
"Once a favourite of Winston Churchill, this rural pile hasn’t lost its playground appeal"

Best Boutique Hotel
The Rose, Kent
The Rose in Kent has taken the title as this years best boutique hotel. A small scale and intimate hotel run by a husband and wife couple, The Rose has become both a restorative retreat beside the sea, and a local gem.
A bold sense of fun, unexpected colour combinations, rich textures and floral patterns along with locally-sourced, mid-century furniture runs throughout to recreate a much-loved destination for colourful celebrations of all sorts and sizes. We honoured the 200-year-old history of the building and reimagined The Rose in a way that feels relevant to Deal.
"A resounding star of the south coast. The eight bedrooms have been blasted with colours as vibrant as a stick of rock, perfect for a cheeky seaside break."
