You will be part of a friendly, dynamic team, working in a stimulating, open plan, studio environment. We take great care to look after each member of the team and to promote their professional development. As well as a talented interior design team, we have dedicated procurement and finance teams to support our design activities.

Position Overview

 As the E-commerce Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting NiX by Nicola Hardings e-commerce operations. You will contribute to the day-to-day management of the online store, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers. You will report directly into the Online Manager. 

Responsibilities

Product Management:

• Assist in the upload and maintenance of product listings on the e-commerce platform, including support with visual merchandising, category navigation, and pricing rules to enhance the overall searchability and appeal of products.
• Ensure accurate product information, images, and pricing.
• Ensure all pages on the site are updated and correct, performing regular site walks and testing.
• Ensure the preparation and timely upload of new products, including new products and seasonal launches.
• Resize, compress, and upload images to ensure optimal website performance and loading speed.

E-commerce Merchandising:

• Ensure the website is working as hard as possible, with regular changes to the Shop page to optimise sales. 
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure stock availability.
• Working with the Merchandising and Customer Service Team manage the order fulfilment process, including order confirmation, shipping coordination, and customer communication.

UX/UI Functionality:

• Manage the product management and roadmap to improve customers’ online experience to increase conversion.
• Analyse the website to generate and implement  initiatives to improve customer experience. 
Customer Support:

• Facilitate the Customer Service team so they are able to provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Collaborate with customer service teams to address e-commerce-related queries.

E-commerce Marketing:

• Support e-commerce marketing initiatives, including promotions, discounts, product launches and email campaigns
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content for the e-commerce platform.
• Upload blog posts and create pages/content as needed

Analytics and Reporting:

• Monitor e-commerce analytics and generate reports to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in implementing data-driven strategies to optimise the online shopping experience.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and design, to ensure seamless integration of e-commerce operations.
• Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to drive online sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
• Previous experience in e-commerce or a related role is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Shopify & familiarity with e-commerce platforms.
• Basic skills in HTML & CSS are greatly beneficial 
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Fundamental understanding of SEO best practice.
• Basic skills in Photoshop greatly beneficial
• Competent skill level in Excel/Google Sheets 
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Enthusiasm for the homeware and interior design industry.
